General Manager

Stefan Cocioaba

My role is to ensure we deliver our commitment in providing the highest quality of care in a luxury environment. My overall responsibilities are to deliver our customers and community, inspiring and leading the onsite team and to ensure high standards of governance and compliance are achieved.

Over the last 13 years, I have had the privilege of serving the healthcare sector through managing and leading frontline care services for our elderly population. I started my career as a care assistant and through perseverance and the dedication in learning the responsibilities and duties of a care assistant ensuring I meet every resident needs and ensure they are well looked after. I have met with many individuals who have willingly shared their life experiences and wisdom with me. This has reinforced my sense of duty and heightened my level of respect for our elders.

Over the time, I have been proud to work alongside some amazing team members who have had a genuine passion for care and a true desire to serve. I have learned a great deal from these colleagues along my career journey and I will be forever grateful for their support. Now I can lead and inspire others into doing the same and together give everything we have to our residents.

I am very much a people person. I truly believe in the values of responsibility, integrity, kindness, compassion and doing what I can for others. The care sector has afforded me the opportunity to ‘live’ these values in the workplace, for which I am truly grateful for.

I worked in signature for 7 years and throughout my career I met some wonderful residents and family members. It is giving me an immense sense of satisfaction seeing that we can deliver an outstanding service and I will do my best in continuing this service in Signature at Ascot. I can say that I found my place in Signature and making Ascot my place of work.

Client Liaison Manager

Tracy Campbell

My role is to help families and residents from their very first enquiry through to moving in to our home. It can sometimes be a very difficult and emotional time with a huge transition for everyone involved. It gives me real pleasure to take people on a tour of our home and then see them settle in, make new friends and join in with activities that they were no longer able to do before coming to Signature. I love seeing the smiles on the faces of family and friends when they come to visit their loved ones, knowing that they made the right decision to come to Signature. It’s such a rewarding job!

Nursing has been my life; I have been a qualified RGN for the past 24 years and have worked in the NHS for 10 years and have loved it. I worked in A&E, cardiology, respiratory, Surgical and was part of a Rehab team to facilitate discharge. Merryl Eagles

I have worked for the home for 7 years as Head Housekeeper. I enjoy all aspects of my role and take great pride in my work. I love making the home look the absolute best it can at all times. I’m thrilled to be part of our new community and look forward to meeting everyone that makes Signature at Ascot their home.

Head Chef

Hugo van der Walt

I moved to the UK from South Africa in 2002 and fell in love with a career in the hospitality industry some 20 years ago. I have been inspired by many chefs in my career who believed in me and encouraged me to be brave in experimenting when it came to food. I found my natural flair was with good homemade cooking with an added twist. As I gained my experience, I was promoted along the way working from Chef de partie to second Chef to Head Chef – which I have been for the past 10 years. I am now coming into the care home sector of my career. I enjoy working with the team and the residents in creating old time favourite recipes and meals that they will all thoroughly enjoy, making a difference in their lives here in their home with a well-balanced nutritious diet with of course the naughty treats here and there.

Business Admin Manager

Nikki Lyon

I joined the team at Ascot in June 2020 and have enjoyed the last 4 years seeing the home grow and flourish. I have spent the previous 12 years working on the administrative side in different care settings after working for 20 years as a PA with Cambridgeshire Constabulary. I enjoy working in these beautiful surroundings and coming in to the home each morning, not knowing what to expect as each day is different. I am proud to be a member of such a great team here at Ascot.
