Celebrating Love On Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is always an important celebration with Signature, with the privilege of having couples that live in our homes and celebrate together, but also to spend time with all loved ones on the day of love.  We love showering our residents with lovely gifts on this special day: single rose stems, chocolate boxes, bouquets, balloons, cakes and even entertainers who visit to sing and perform for everyone. It is always a wonderful day for everyone who is able to join us in our homes.

We like to thank all of our team members who organise such fun events. Our Hospitality Teams are able to source the best entertainers and decorations; our Kitchen and Food and Beverage Teams are able to whip up a storm for all; our Wellbeing and Lifestyle Teams put on some very engaging activities that many take part in and thoroughly enjoy.

This year, our homes took different approaches to honouring this day:

  • Ascot made cupcakes and raised money for our chosen charity, BRACE Dementia Research
  • Banstead invited a harpist to the home and everyone enjoyed a brilliant Valentine’s Afternoon Tea Party
  • Bentley House had a guitarist visit for residents and loved ones to sing along
  • Caversham sang together and enjoyed Valentine’s-themed refreshments
  • Coombe Hill Manor were blessed with a resident making beautiful posies for the team members
  • Farnham Common enjoyed a performance from a singer and they had a raffle, with all proceeds going to BRACE Dementia Research
  • Hendon Hall hosted an afternoon tea in the Private Dining Room for the few couples that live at the home (all received chocolates, flowers and balloons)
  • Highgate hosted a big Valentine’s Party
  • Reigate Grange handed out single stem roses to the residents and had a harpist visit and play for all to enjoy
  • Weybridge have seven couples living at the home so the team members visited them individually with gifts and a wonderful cake
