Signature at The Great British Care Awards
The Care Home Registered Manager Award
Winner: Sonya Fenwick – General Registered Manager, Signature at Coombe Hill Manor.
Sonya Fenwick’s leadership has ensured Signature at Coombe Hill Manor’s care offering and commitment to team members and residents has remained exceptional, providing luxury supported living, dementia, nursing and respite care to 86 residents. Recognising the significance of co-production in social care, Sonya has worked tirelessly to ensure her team prioritises the involvement of residents, relatives and their loved ones in care planning from the outset of their Signature story. Demonstrating the home’s drive to promote independent living, Sonya’s team provides activities programmes to help residents lead meaningful and fulfilling lives. This included Sonya’s team creating a ‘pop-up restaurant’ to match residents’ ideas and choices. The team cooked with and for residents while pairing wines and running a “travelogue” enabling residents to share stories of countries they visited, and enjoy new experiences from around the world in the comfort of their home.
