My mother has been at Coombe Hill Manor for a year. She has quite severe dementia. The staff at Coombe are extremely patient and kind. My mum is always treated with dignity and sensitivity. She has a lovely room which is always clean and tidy. The food is good, and her changing dietary needs are catered for. My mum loves going to the garden which is beautifully maintained. The activities provided are wonderful, and there are also trips out. I would have no hesitation in recommending Combe Hill Manor as an excellent care home.

I came to Coombe Hill Manor for short-stay respite care following my hip replacement operation - to get me back on my feet and totally rehabilitated. Due to the incredibly uplifting atmosphere, the wonderful, friendly and professional staff, the beautiful spacious rooms, the delicious food and fantastic gardens - I recovered from my operation very quickly. This care home is extremely well managed and the positive management philosophy filters down through all the staff, to create a welcome, supportive and caring environment.

My Mother has been a resident at Coombe Hill Manor for just over 3 months. She moved in following a fall at home and other health issues which signalled that her existing home was no longer fit for purpose. Mum immediately felt safe and secure. The staff are delightful. The food is of a particularly high standard and Mum is at risk of putting on weight. She has had a couple of minor ailments over the last few weeks and I have been impressed by how quickly they have been picked up by the nursing staff and the appropriate medical intervention made.  I can relax in the knowledge that Mum is in very capable hands.

Signature at Highgate does not feel like a residential care home. The staff are all attentive, helpful and subtle in the way that they support my mother so that they seem more like caring friends than carers. She can remain independent in all her choices and activities while accessing a full range of in-house entertainment. As an example, saying that she likes opera, several operas have been screened in the cinema especially for her. The facilities are more like a luxury hotel with food freshly prepared for each dinner from a small but varied and healthy menu. Guests are always welcome and can be hosted in her private apartment or the public lounges with free coffee and cakes provided. Saying that she likes granola for breakfast, it appeared on the menu by day 3!
